REVIEW: |
The fourth
volume in the series offers the recording of a concert that had this line-up: Ron
Wood on guitar and vocals, Ian McLagen on keyboards, Bobby Keys on sax, Simon
Kirke on drums and someone else (unknown) on bass.
This
version is in fact a mix of two different sources, one was more equalized with
more medium sound and the other one had a better right channel. So we got a mix
of both versions after having speed corrected the first one (-0, 7%) and the
right channel from the second one was used.
There was a gap between the medley (the last seconds of Little Red Rooster are
lost and also the banter, hence it fades in/out). Because of two gaps in the
second version some patches were required at the end of It s All Over Now, the
last seconds from Honky Tonk Women and until the end of the show, for which the
first source was used after duplicating it. Luckily the set list is pretty
different from the previous ones, beginning with Bobby Keys leading with Texas
Shuffle and especially Can t You Hear Me Knocking; Ron Wood resurfaces Buried
Alive from the New Barbarians age and his usual solo medley and the concert
ends with Honky Tonk Women.
