The review

This is simply one of the must-haves for Hendrix-files. The clarity of this intimite recording from Jimi's New York Apartment is astonishing, yes...you can hear Jimi turning the pages of his music/lyrics as he strums. Incredible stuff. And the beautiful Digipack 27 Productions is a fitting tribute to the music on the slick picture disc. You gotta pick this up just to hear "Gypsy Eyes".

The supplementary Jams from The Record Plant are very typical of what most of us have heard from these sessions before. Nothing earthshattering but c'mon, it is Hendrix and it usually brings a smile.
