The review

This show is somewhat erroneously billed as part of the “2003 Greendale Tour of The Far East” – it’s not a  Greendale show at all (only “Be The Rain” comes from that album), but a Young “greatest hits” kind of show featuring plenty of Young warhorses performed by, er, Crazy Horse plus a solo acoustic segment. In a sense that makes it all the more intriguing; a month earlier Young had been out on the road in the States doing Greendale, and the following week he’d again tour Greendale for Japanese and Australian audiences. It’s a pretty solid audience recording too, making it the kind of show fans who enjoy sampling each tour leg (but who don’t necessarily collect every single show) will get a lot of pleasure from. Needless to say, the Young/Sampedro/Talbot/Molina performing machine will rarely let you down.

The CDRS are packaged modestly but tastefully with single-sided full-color inserts. -- OSWALD
