REVIEW:

This release from Bob Marley couples some studio work from 1973 at L.A. Capitol Studios with a live concert from 1979 at Oakland Coliseum. Sourced from a VHS recording the CBS tracks are songs played in the studio as Rehearsals, with Peter Tosh still in the band. There are three different sources for these relearsals: a low colored version with time code, a high coloured version without time code (this is it) and a short black and white one with time code. The footage is not of high quality and the soundtrack, although soundboard, is in mono. The Oakland Coliseum concert from 1979 has become a classic one, just two years before Marley's untimely death and features Ron Wood playing on "Is This Love?/Jammin'", "Ride Natty Ride", "Roots, Rock,Reggae", "Natty Dread" and "Get Up, Stand Up". This concert has been broadcasted by Wolfgang's Vault and features an all great hits setlist played confidently by skilled musicians and enjoyed by the crowds. Here the video is in black and white, the only footage to have come out from this historic concert, the soundtrack being in mono as well.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
