REVIEW: |
Volume 2 of this series dedicated to Mick
Taylor’s shows with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers in the Spring of 1982 brings us
close to Cleveland in Highland Heights. All
versions were coming from the same recording, all
deteriorated by digital noises at the end of the first disc. Luckily one
recording was an exception, therefore it has been used here. The sound has been
amplified, some microgaps between the tracks deleted, the channels rebalanced
and phased and the transitions between tracks reworked so now they all start
with a song. Some defaults were deleted in An Eye For An Eye at 3’03, in My
Time After Awhile since the left channel was altered, a 5 second patch at 6’34
was used.
Rock It
In The Pocket has a break after 36 seconds, probably because of a needed tape
flip while recording and restarts only for the last seconds, so it was decided
to separate the 2 discs at this point. This is not a great recording, but a
listenable one.
