REVIEW: |
For volume 5 of this series we get to
Philadelphia.
For this
show, a version sent by ‘Smokedusky’ years ago, was the best one. It was
already reworked in 2016, here’s the text file from back then:
The sound
was amplified (+1db) in some tracks and from 2’18 until 2’38 of You Never Can
Be Trusted. Have also been improved the beginnings/ends of each disc with fade
ins/outs. The only problem was that The Dark Side Of Midnight was cut after
4’55 (probably due to a tape flip) and the end of the song was on track
7. Trying to improve the listening pleasure a fade in/out was placed at
the gap and the two segments were joined. On Disc 2, track 4 little defaults at
the end were deleted but some harsh transitions between some songs remained, but
nothing really too bad. Here’s what was newly done: Both channels have been
rephased and rebalanced as well as the transitions between the tracks. Note a
fade in/out before Room To Move. Taylor is in top form here plating great licks
that make this one of the best concerts of this tour. The setlist is abut the
same but there is a long version of Lookin’ For Willie clocking in at over 9
minutes that deserves to be noted.
