Volume Nineteen has the second show from New York’s Lonestar Roadhouse in
late March 90. The l
ine-up was: Mick Taylor on guitar and vocals, Blondie Chaplin on guitar
and vocals, Joel Diamond on keyboards, Wilbur Bascomb on bass and Eric Parker on
drums, with special guest Jon Paris on harmonica and vocals on the last three
songs.
Two
versions coming from the same source were already circulating. The first one had
a better sound and was more complete than the other (including Can’t You Hear
Me Knocking) but both missed the end of It Hurts Me Too and the beginning of
Laundromat
Blues. However, both are present in the Maidenlane recording, therefore it has
been decided to post this reworked version and another one combining both
sources (cf. Maidenlane Frankenstein’s version Vol 19).
Note the first tape flip after Semolina but no music
is lost and the second in Can’t You Hear Me Knocking at 10’27.
All songs are now edited, the recording de-clicked, amplified, both
channels rebalanced
(+10% to the left channel) and
the pitch corrected (speed decelerated by – 0,6%). This recording is really
brilliant, showing Taylor at his peak.
