The review
The sixth volume of this series is again from New York from the following day, this is the first show; h ere too we have 2 versions from the same source which mirrors the previous day, most likely it was the same taper in the same position, but at times the sound is a bit saturated. One was running way too fast and was much too hissy, so the other version was used which had also a more correct speed. As usual the recording has been balanced (around +20% for the right channel), the sound slightly refocused, de-clicked and the transitions reworked. In particular on I’m A Blues Man the intensity variation has been upgraded, on Born In Chicago one second repetition before the following track was deleted; on The Stumble note a gap before the following track, the band introduction fades in while Sweet Home Chicago fades out. On Got My Mojo Working was used a patch from 3’58 to 4’02 (left channel duplicated) to upgrade the missing right channel during these 4 seconds; on the Encore Break there was a gap (fade in/out) at 0’24.
