| REVIEW: |
This
release presents a great recording of a gig from South West Germany, about 20
Km. from Heidelberg for a short European Tour through all of November that
began in Helsinki and ended in Paris. The line up for this concert was:
Mick Taylor on guitar and vocals, Jimmie Wood on
vocals and harmonica, Jimmy King on guitar and backing vocals, Greg Boaz on bass
and Tom Philmore on drums. The last 2 tracks of Disc One and the first 2 tracks
of Disc Two are Jimmy Wood solo performances on acoustic guitar.
This concert
is interesting because it is the only soundboard coming from this tour, but
also because there were two rarely played songs, You’re So Fine and Lighting
Struck, from Jimmy Wood’s repertoire, on the latter Taylor plays too.
