Recently some new recordings from the John Mayall show in Long Beach have
appeared on YouTube. It was
broadcasted live in the
web by KLON-FM and radioondemand.com. The whole show was professionally filmed too
On Part 1 we get Mick Taylor with The Mayall’s
Bluesbreakers, the line-up was: Mick Taylor on guitar and vocals on You Shook
Me, John Mayall in vocals and keyboards, Buddy Whittington on guitar, John
Paulus on bass and Joe Yuele on drums.
On P
art II there is Mick Taylor with British
Blues Reunion. The musicians were: Mick Taylor on guitar, John Mayall on vocals
and keyboards, Peter Green on guitar, Chris Dreja on guitar, Jim McCarty on drums,
Ronnie Earl on guitar), Alan Glen on harmonica, Keith Emerson on organ, Kim
Simmonds on guitar, Buddy Whittington on guitar, John Paulus on bass and Joe
Yuele on drums.
As b
onus we get Mick Taylor’s appearance at the Spain Festival
Internacional De Blues from 1986. The line-up featured: Mick Taylor on guitar
and vocals, Snowy White on guitar, Max Middleton on keyboards, Kuma Harada on bass
and Richard Bailey on drums.
These
are excellent sounding tracks with Taylor plating his licks in full freedom
despite the many guitar players on stage with him.
