REVIEW: |
Volume Three of this series presents a recording from Philadelphia
in 1987 where Taylor’s band opened for John Mayall.
Here the
l
ine-up
was: Mick Taylor on guitar,
Max Middleton
on keyboards, Wayne Hammond on bass and Mike Cullen on
drums.
All prior circulating versions come from a very good quality audience
recording (sometimes considered to be a soundboard). Maidenlane's version is
also interesting and constitutes an alternative to this recording.
So it was decided to
keep it after reworking it; this recording has now been edited, de-clicked and its
speed improved (slowed down by -2.7%). Note a fade in/out before Can’t You Hear
Me Knocking due to tape flip. This is a good recording and an interesting one, although
not up to the previous ones standard, since it has bass frequencies pretty much
enhanced.
