Volume Seven of this series presents the 2^nd concert from the Lone Star Café in New York, from the end of February 1988. T he l ine-up was obviously the same as the 1^st concert, but with special guest Ricky Byrd on vocals and guitar on Down In The Bottom. The Maidenlane recording is very good and is only missing a part of the tuning and a short passage in Goin’ South is a good alternate recording to the already circulated one. As usual the tracks were edited, de-clicked and the recording amplified and both channels rebalanced. Goin’ South was in two parts due to a tape flip, they’re now reconnected at 10’17 without defaults …. but about 1 minute has been lost. This is another great recording showcasing classic Taylor stuff.
