REVIEW: |
This series was dedicated to the late great Gary
Brooker (29/05/45 - 19/02/22) as well as to the famous ship ‘Queen Elizabeth 2’
which, it was assumed, must have brought both Bill Wyman and Gary Brooker over
the Atlantic because of their mutual fear of flying. However, it seems
through Bill
Wyman's diaries that at least Bill took a Virgin flight from Heathrow to New York
City on August 2, but we still don't know how Gary Brooker came to the US and
how both of them went back. Therefore, good ole QE2 is still a possibility. Anyway,
the Rhythm Kings line up consisted of Bill Wyman on bass, Gary Brooker on keyboards
and vocals, Georgie Fame on keyboards and vocals, Terry Taylor on guitar and backing
vocals, Martin Taylor on guitar, Albert Lee on guitar and vocals, Graham Broad
on drums, Beverley Skeete on vocals, Janice Hoyt on vocals, Frank Mead on sax and
percussions, Nick Payn on sax, flute and harmonica. This is a very good but lossy
recording, so not much was needed, just adding some more treble, deleting some microgaps
between tracks and reworked tracks transitions.
