This new RSVP DVD presents the great Salute! Show hosted by Dick Clark that was recorded in mid July 1983 in Los Angeles at the MCA Studios. The event was then broadcasted on September 25^th of the same year and featured Jerry Lee Lewis with a number of guests that played with him (Keith Richards, Mick Fleetwood, Little Richard, Emmylou Harris, Gary Busey, Ruth Buzzi) or talked about him (his own daughter Phoebe, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash). There is also a nice moment when the Killer himself played tribute to Gene Autrey, his long time hero, right in front of him singing "Mexicali Rose", the famous song written by Jack Tenney and Helen Stone . This video has been available for a long time but we only got the excerpts featuring Keith Richards and in not so good quality; this time instead we get the whole show in very good quality both video and audio (although mono). As a bonus we get the 2010 ZDF Info Special on Keith Richards when he presented his autobiography Life in Germany.
