SCHOOL DAZE

The first 20 seconds of disc one will make you almost want to hit the stop button immediately.   Be patient.  After pulling the mike out of an inside pocket, dropping it on the floor, stepping on it, and then trying to find a good position for it, this turns into one great audience tape that keeps improving right along.   Bruce tells a couple new stories leading into songs (once that I don't think he ever told again), and the band seems in top form (as always I guess).   By the end you'd swear you were listening to a soundboard.  A few more clunks and scrapes come up here and there but nothing to distract you from a great show.  Artwork is a mock up of a school yearbook photo page with lists of accomplishments by each student (except for a young man named Bruce Springsteen who has nothing noted as interests or accomplishments).  Unique photo on rear side that hasn't been circulated to my knowledge.   As it's unlikely many more old Bruce shows are going to surface, this is a welcome set.
