The review
What
happened was that lately Ben Waters posted an excerpt from his March 23,
2023 rehearsal with Ron Wood at the Ivy Club on July 23 (Good Golly Miss Molly).
This excerpt is very interesting, and it was decided to add it to FP #140,
which had been published previously. This project came about when
BlueTurns2Grey sent what he had made with the YouTube videos dedicated to the
Putney show, so it was decided to work together on a more complete version.
On Part I we get the Ivy Club gig from 23 March 2023 featuring Ronnie Wood with
Ben Waters Band
. This was a benefit-gig to raise funds for spinal injury
charity Aspire.
The line-up consisted of: Ron Wood on guitar and vocals, Ben Waters on piano
and vocals, Ian Jennings on bass, Ady Milward on drums, Tom Waters on sax
Imelda May and Chanel Haynes on vocals. In particular on Rock And Roll Music
there is Imelda May on lead vocals, on
The
Best Chanel Haynes is on lead vocals, on Chain Of Fools Ron Wood is on lead
vocals, on Every Night About This Time Imelda May is on lead vocals like on Wee
Wee Hours and on Remember (Walking In The Sand). On River Deep, Mountain High
is Chanel Haynes on lead vocals as well as on Rock Me Baby. Lewis Boogie has Ben
Waters on lead vocals while on I Can Feel The Fire/Let It Rock/Johnny B. Goode
we have at first Ron Wood, then Ben Waters on lead vocals. On the last song Proud
Mary Chanel Haynes is on lead vocals.
Part II consists of the concert held at the Half Moon in Putney, London for Ben
Waters' 50th birthday concert.
The line-up here was: Ron Wood on guitr and vocals, Ben Waters on piano and vocals,
Tom Waters on sax, Ian Jennings on upright bass, Kev Crowe on drums, Nick Lunt
and Adam Davy on sax.
In particular on Little Queenie Ben Waters is on lead vocals, on Around And Around
is Ron Wood on lead vocals; on Honky Tonk Women Chanel Haynes sings lead vocals
and Dave Kelly is on additional guitar and on The Best Chanel Haynes is again
on lead vocals (track is without Ron Wood)
