REVIEW:

This release couples together 2 different London appearances by Bob Dylan 8 years apart but both featuring Ron Wood between the guests. Thanks to HBO this concert held in London's Hyde Park was broadcasted and here we have Dylan’s part with Ron Wood in his band; the selection of songs present a lot of old ones with the only exclusion of the rarely played “Silvio”. The band is an eclectic one with Ron Wood on guitar and John Jackson on guitars, Bucky Baxter on pedal steel guitar, Tony Garnier on bass, Winston Watson on drums and Al Kooper on keyboards. Two more songs were played (“All Along The Watchtowers” and “Seven Days”) but unfortunately not present here. The camera work is very good with great shots , footage is clear and sound in stereo. Too bad the concert is short, just half an hour, because the combination of material played, the musicians craftsmanship and both audio and video contents of this release are very good. Next come the Fleadh Festival from 2004, this footage come from the audience and it is a bit shakey, taken from the first rows close to the stage and at times a bit out of focus. Dylan all dressed in black, including a hat, is flanked by Larry Campbell on guitar and pedal steel, Tony Garnier on bass and George Recile on drums.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
