The review

Bob Dylan’s stop in Rome in 1984 consisted of three shows, of which just the first one has been released in soundboard quality. This third concert was not available before, except for audience recordings, it has an unusual setlist with some unexpected tracks like Desolation Row which had last been played live in St. Louis in 1974, although missing some lyrics like the Cain and Abel and the Einstein quatrains. It seems the show was recorded for the band only, that is why no encore available in soundboard, but here we get a nice audience tape to supplement it and have the full show. However, it is remarkable that here we get I’ve Got To Use My Imagination in soundboard quality too. Dylan is really inspired by the enthusiastic audience reaction and puts on a very good concert, followed by the band.
