This release presents the first 1984 Rotterdam show by Bob Dylan; it came out on vinyl as His Master's Voice, a 3LP coloured vinyl set soon copied on Live in Holland (Bijoux), Man of Peace (Superman) and Rotterdam 84 and has received small attention on cd as it was only available in 2006 on Tangled and Twisted (Thinman) which wasn t complete and as a cdr.   This release from Japan Academy Records presents a very nice complete audience recording housed in a classy foldout digipack. It still has good stereo sound but on Disc One with 1 second gap between songs, with Dylan vocals, Taylor guitar and the drums in evidence. Each show of this tour sees the start with the full band and after 8 numbers there is an acoustic set that in this case lasts for 2 songs before the electric set starts again. The second part is usually unpredictable, depending on Dylan's mood, on the first Rotterdam show two songs were played as encore by Dylan on acoustic guitar and two more electrically with the band.
