REVIEW:

This release from the Faces presents the band in some recordings for BBC Radio 1 from 1971 and 1972; in April 1971 the band recorded a four songs session for the late night BBC radio program Sounds of the Seventies presented by Bob Harris. Browned Off would then be called Oh Lord I0m Browned Off when appeared as a B side in the USA, an instrumental track that reminds Pineapple and the Monkey from the Faces first album. Disco 2 was a BBC tv show that ran from January 1970 and July 1971, the forerunner of Old Grey Whistle Test, here we het the Faces April 1971 performance that feature Rod Stewart singing Ronnie Lane’s Tell Everyone as long as Sweet Lady Mary. Finally 2 tracks for In Concert from early 1972, the Temptation’s hit (I Know) I’m Losing You followed by Stay With Me that was produced by Glyn Johns. The sound output is excellent, although in mono and packaging quite good as well.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
