The review
The Faces played only 3 shows in Japan, all in 1974, one in Osaka (the second gig was cancelled due to Rod Stewart vocals problems) and 2 at Tokyo’s Budokan, the last of which is this.
This release from Japan was issued in 2019, but there have been other releases with this recording like Live At Budokan 74, Live At Budokan (Zeus 9020021-2) from 1999 and Drunkard Angels (Reel Masters 005-6), Pool Hall Richard (1974 Judo) 2cdr, At Japan 1974 (Phoenix) 2cdr and Japan It Shouts (Dve Kanal Glasba) 2cdr. The sound output is really great, maybe with too many high frequencies but considering it comes from Budokan, a venue known for its bad acoustics, unexpectedly excellent. Note that this label later evolved into Mayflower.
