The last concert of the Winos
1992 Euro Tour happened in London at the Town and Country Club on Keith’s
birthday.
Various different versions circulate for
this show:
One whose first 11 tracks come from the 17/12/92 show (see
Vol 10), another version is Locked Away For Two Days In London (Rockin’ Rott 2002-031),
but a comparison using the stage banter of KR (see excerpt from Olaf
Reuthebuch's Words Of Wonder-book) confirmed without any doubt that only the
first five tracks were authentic, the other ones come from the Paris
7.12.92-show! So the 2nd part of Rockin’ Rott is wrongly dated. The
good version is Weil du Geburtstag hast (Amiga 450 601) which is a vinyl album that
came out in 1992 in 250 copies that contains just 11 tracks. The conclusion is that
only the first part of this show is available, but according to information,
coming March 2022 on the Main Offender official De Luxe box set the whole concert
in soundboard quality will be included.
Here as usual tracks
transitions have been
worked, so now each track starts with a song.
The first seconds of Take It So
Hard are missing. Amplification and channel equilibration in some parts of this
song have been reworked. One second in the middle of Too Rude has been altered
because it sounded very low. The end of Hate It When You Leave is missing too.
This is a good recording, but of course no match for a soundboard complete version,
we’ll see. For the time being this series has offered the best possible
documents of the Winos 1992 European dates.
