| REVIEW: |
The third
release from OBR in 2026 is in fact a reissue pressed from the original plates (just
60 copies) in yellow vinyl. The artwork however has been reworked by M.Heffner,
on the front cover there is a yellow vinyl black sticker on top and the word Mexico
has been added just below the title; the back has new track listing design in
red letters, which maintained the old Born To Loose mistake instead of Born To
Lose, credits for the artwork go to the late Harald L. who was the original cover
artist, a specialist on Ray Charles and blues songs who passed away some years
ago. There is also a new carefully crafted spine which with the yellow colour of
the vinyl and sleeve makes this a great collector’s item. The music comes from
Keith Richards’ wedding session from a hotel room in Cabo St. Lucas, Mexico around
December 18th and mostly features Keith strumming alone on the
guitar old favourite of his, but at times another guy joins him, named Stroker
allegedly the Mexican ‘producer, who provides backing vocals on some songs (All
Shook Up, Learning The Game and I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now, Try A Little
Tenderness not included here). There is in fact enough material for another
platter, probably a double album would have been more appealing to fans and
collectors.
