The review

While listening to this CD I was reminiscing on the best shows I've attended. Wings in Detroit 1976? Several Stones shows. Jimi Hendrix Experience at the tender age of 12 at Cobo Arena? Then it occurred to me that some of the best shows was EVERYTIME I saw Rory Gallagher. Rory was always on fire out of the gate with little regard for setlists, trends, elaborate stage sets, wardrobe, etc. Just extreme soul and passion everytime he strapped on his old battered Fender Strat. No one could play like this before or since. This is a great show and recording that could have come from an FM or pre-FM broadcast.  If your new to Rory this is a great place to start if your already a fan this will not disappoint and just reaffirm what a great talent and man that was our loss on June 14, 1995 when Rory passed away.
