A must-have performance for any Rory Gallagher fans. This is an FM Broadcast that I'm quite certain was obtained via Bit Torrent download off the internet. I checked it against my own download and seems to be exactly the same, tonal qualities, volume and all. The company behind Frog Eaters Records is the DigiPack Label that is releasing some great stuff. They have great taste in material and package them sweetly.
The show itself showcases all of Rory's talents and boy do I miss this guy. Highlights here include "Cradle Rock" and a blistering "Walk On Hot Coals". The sound here is as good as you will find, of this particular show. It's not a superb broadcast but graduates to excellent by the third track. Some of these broadcasts are played too "hot" and you get that nice little distortion. At any rate this is great stuff and it's housed in a wonderful, full color digipack sleeve. The bonus track is one of Rory's final studio recordings, a tribute to guitarist Peter Green called "Leaving Town Blues" and it is provided here in killer quality.
