REVIEW:

This project is subtitled Ron Wood with Van The Man and Rod The Mod and presents various collaborations Ron Wood has had with these 2 legends. Part 1 presents Rod Stewart from Madison Square Garden in 2004. Here the line-up was: Ron Wood on guitar and backing vocals, Rod Stewart on vocals, Jeff Golub on guitar, Conrad Korsch on bass, Henry Hey on keyboards, David Palmer on drums, Don Kirkpatrick on guitar, Chuck Kentis on keyboards, Esther Nicholson, Natasha Pearce & Julie Delgardo on backing vocals. Part 2 features Van Morrison at the JAMES BURTON tribute in London’s Palladium. On Boppin’ The Blues/Blue Suede Shoes the first 16 seconds from 2nd source and the rest from Matt Lee. The line-up was: Ron Wood on guitar and backing vocals, James Burton on guitar and the Leo Green Orchestra as backing band.

Note that Ron Wood appeared on 3 other tracks but without Van Morrison (Mystery Train, Susie Q & Hello Mary Lou). Part 3 has Rod Stewart at the Glastonbury Festival
On Hot Legs Lulu is sharing vocals, besides that here the line-up saw Ron Wood on guitar and backing vocals, Rod Stewart on vocals, Kevin Savigar on keyboards, Conrad Korsch on bass, Don Kirkpatrick on guitar, David Palmer on drums, J’Anna Jacoby on backing vocals and tambourine, plus an unknown guitarist, three percussionists & three female backing singers. Note that the whole concert was streamed live on the BBC i-Player and aired live on UK BBC2 radio.

Part 4 presents Van Morrison in Belfast, here on Stormy Monday/Take Your Hands Out Of My Pocket the 2 first minutes and the last seconds are not being merged, on Gloria some seconds at the beginning and the last minute are not being merged. The line-up here was: Ron Wood on guitar, Van Morrison on vocals & Van Morrison’s band. As bonus there is It’s All Over Now Baby Blue with Chris Farlowe, but without Ron Wood; this is a mix from 30 & 31 August shows.
