This release presents the 1984 concert from Vienna of Bob Dylan s European Tour, at the beginning the tape is a bit muddy, although ostensibly a nice recording that gets clearer as the concert develops with amazing stereo separation for an audience source and it does really present an interesting document of the event, remarkable even for non Dylan collectors. As for repertoire this is a not any standard 1984 tour gig (as far as that can be said of any Dylan concert) because it shows a number of songs played only once (Tangled Up In Blue) or twice (Shelter From the Storm, Heart of Mine.. Playing is fine although at times it seems the backing band a bit uncertain in following the leader, despite this being the 13^th show of the tour, however but the music content is still very much appreciable. From Heart Of Mine onwards Carlos Santana and possibly one of his percussionists join the band adding a touch of dynamism to the sound.
