REVIEW:

This full concert has just appeared and is the subject of this great 3 discs set; in the past an incomplete version had appeared as Bonner Springs 1986 Soundboard and Red Rocks 1986 1st Night Soundboard; 15 dongs have come out in stereo on Soundboard Collection 1984 (WLR 2131) 10 cd and 1 DVD box; Tombstone Blues came out as multitrack in 2021 on How I Spent The Summer (E.Valley 1439) . The concert was the one that really ended the 1984 European Tour the day after the Wembley show. This is a show where Dylan had many guests that come out in Disc Three: on tracks 6 ,7 Van Morrison, on track 8 Santana, Bono, Leslie Dowdell & Steve Wickham (from the Irish band In Tua Nua), on tracks 9,10 Santana and on tracks 11 Santana, Bono & L.Dowdell. Disc One and Three are excellent, while Disc Two has a thinner sound and the impression is that it was originally too low in volume and has been boosted, since it mostly consists of acoustic tracks however, that is negligible. The setlist is richer than Wembley with the inclusion of With God On Our side and Tupelo Honey, the latter having Van Morrison followed by Bono guesting on Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat with 2 members of Irish band In Tua Nua. The show last encore Blowin’ In The Wind is unfortunately sang by people that did not know the lyrics, so it turns out to be a real mess. The last song is a bonus track coming from Newcastle and is interesting because it is in soundboard too hinting in the future we may get that concert in such quality too.
