REVIEW:

The Stones stop at the Apollo Theatre, Glasgow in mid September 1973 recording surfaced between collectors as a bad one on tape (Complete Glasgow 73, Dancing with Mr.M) and a slightly better version (Live in Scotland) before coming out quite acceptable on a cdr called Glasgow 1973 (Sounds of Satisfaction 730916). These have all being mono recordings with a pronounced lack of bass frequencies especially at the beginning of the concert.

In 2015 a cdr called Apollo Theatre, Glasgow 16 September 1973 was released presenting a nice mono audience recording which was running too fast, soon corrected on Happy in Glasgow by Cpt.Acid. The following year You Don’t Have To Go To Harlem (Eat a Peach 80) came out offering a stereo recording from the master tape; then arrived Glasgow Apollo Live in Scotland 1973 (DAC 166) a 2cd set that included Billy Preston opening act featuring Mick Taylor on Disc One. In 2020 a no label 2 cdr set simply called Glasgow 1973 came out with both Glasgow 73 shows, the first disc having the mono audience recording.

This recording contrary to the previous versions like DAC has a better sound in songs like Brown Sugar and  Contrary to the previous no label release there is no distortion on All Down The Line and the Outro is present too; packaging is very good with great front cover and nice back cover with track listings. The performance by the Stones is excellent.
