REVIEW:

This concert is one of the most elusive of the 1981 US Tour, it appeared as a mono soundboard in 1995 as Houston Can You Sing? (VGP 053) taken from video source and later in 2013 as Live in Houston (Empress Valley 609-610) as stereo soundboard but only till Tumbling Dice, it was supplemented by the 29 October recording. This new volume is the result of a close collaboration of the maker with BlueTurns2Grey who asked to rework the soundtrack for the video he did post simultaneously. BT2G did the mixing and de-clicking of the recording while this volume was done rebalancing the channels (+10 to +30% for the right channel), amplifying it slightly and adjusting the phase. Unfortunately, Brown Sugar has only the first seconds and Jumping Jack Flash beginning is missing, as for audience recordings there was Shake Your Ass Houston! But it was reported as incomplete. Additional musicians: Ian McLagan on keyboards and backing vocals, Ernie Watts on sax and Bobby Keys on sax on Brown Sugar and other assorted tracks.
