The review
The Stones Seattle 75 concert was first released as the last two discs from the 8 cds set Tour of the Americas 75 (Phonocomp RS 01-08), then as Seattle 75 (Risk Disc 011) soon replicated as Rockin’ the Coliseum (Exile EXM 003AB). Then was released A Live in Seattle (DAC 062) from another source (Freezer recording) all in mono and later Seattle Coliseum 1975 (SODD 030-31) came out, this time in stereo. After was released on a 2cdr set Seattle Center Arena (Palladium) that offered a different source, then came Seattle 1975 a No Label set, another stereo version that had more lower frequencies than before and represented a good improvement from the previously available recordings. This show appeared on Tour of the Americas 75 (WLR 2124) 14 cds & 1 DVD box as well as on Live in Seattle (Acid Project 031) and on Seattle 1975 JEMS Master 2 cdr.
This strangely titled release from Mayflower presents what has been described as one of the best gig of the whole 75 Tour lot where the band, hot from Los Angeles and San Francisco gigs came out boiling and performed a very good concert. This performance is certainly showing the band in great mood with a sloppy but attractive attitude that permeates most of the songs, notably Happy sung with decadent nonchalance by Keith Richards. The recording is unfortunately in mono and starts with a pretty dull sound that improves slowly as the concert goes on, the second disc is much more enjoyable although it is regrettable the label did not use a stereo recording.
