The review
The Stones concert in Tucson has appeared only on Let The Juice Pumping (VGP 139) released in 1997 which is incomplete missing Jumping Jack Flash; previously the concert had appeared on tape having horrible sound quality but a longer introduction. The concert is famous for having Linda Ronstadt singing Tumbling Dice, a rarity at the time. This release from Mayflower offers the same source, again missing Jumping Jack Flash, but provides a different source for Tumbling Dice, added at the end. The label’s treatment, however, provides new life to the recording which, albeit still mono, has a bit more vitality than what I remembered, but the bass frequencies still being somehow distorted. It has to be noted though that on Disc Two the rest of the recording gets in stereo from Tumbling Dice onward, but not the second source T.Dice that is incomplete by the way.
