REVIEW:

Twenty five years later the Stones return to Pasadena s Rose Bowl for a concert whose recording has been granted IEM treatment, which is he next best thing to a soundboard tape. An IEM (In Ear Monitor) recording is what many Stones fans nowadays kook for; many times recently they have come from the Xavel label and this is the case with this one. This concert was released as No Filter in Pasadena (Sticky 162) Rose Bowl which is a copy of this release, Pasadena 2cd & 1 DVD (Exile), Pasadena Rose Bowl 2 cdr, No Filter US Tour 2019 Pt.2 box (WLR). The recording starts with a useless 4.15 minutes intro followed by Robert Downing jr explaining why NASA decided to name Rolling Stones a rock they located on Mars. After another musical intro (here called Opening) finally the show begins with Street Fighting Man, the song selected by the audience is She s A Rainbow which is received with enthusiasm by the crowd. To this regard it must be said that the audience is more audible here, providing a warmer sound output. Anyway for me the beauty of these releases is the sharp separation between the two guitars, Ron on the left channel and Keith on the right channel here so it is possible to figure out who is playing what, regardless of the so called waiving technique.
