This box presents the first eight shows of the Stones 2019 No Filter US tour, starting with the opening concert in Chicago which was released as Chicago Soldier Field, June 21, 2019 a no label 2 cdr set, then Chicago 2019 1srr Night (n label) 2 cdr, No Filter in Chicago (Xavel SMS 205) soon copied as No Filter 2019 Chicago Matrix Recording (WLR NF 07 and as No Filter US Tour 2019 Soldier Field Chicago (Exile NF2019021 ABC) 2 cdr and 1 DVD-R. This concert is well played, proving tour rehearsals were good, this being just an audience recording, but a good one. From this tour the Stones resumed the B stage for an acoustic set but only for 2 songs, this time the highlight being Dead Flowers.

Likewise the second Chicago show (the 39^th in that city for the Stones and the 9^th at Soldiers Field) as Chicago Soldier Field, June 2, 2019 a no label 2 cdr set, then as Chicago 2019 2^nd Night (no label) 2 cdr, No Filter in Chicago (Xavel SMS 206) soon copied as No Filter 2019 Chicago Matrix Recording (WLR NF 07) and as No Filter US Tour 2019 Soldier Field Chicago (Exile NF2019025 ABC) 2 cdr and 1 DVD-R. In this concert the band starts Mifnight Rambler with Keith s guitar tuned for Paint It Black, so Jagger soon realizes it is a mistake excusing himself with the audience.

Burl s Creek in Ontario is a concert that has never been released before, there are just some YouTube videos around and here they are except for Keith s set which is available, however  incomplete.

The Landover (Washington) stop was documented on Landover 2019, Fedex Field (no label)2 cdr and on silver on Landover 2019 (no label) 2cd, but there is also a 2cdr set having the same name, No Filter 2019 US Tour Landover (Exile EXCDR 20190703) 2cdr+1 DVD-R. This concert is remarkable because of Mercy Mercy which was previously played live at Hyde Park in 1969; other songs rarely played in recent tours are Rocks Off and Let It Bleed. This is a fairly good recording although with too much audience interactions.

The band then moved to Foxboro whose recording can be found on Foxborough 2019 (no label) 2cdr, so its a first time on silver here; there was a rumour this concert was recorded by Xavel from IEM sources but so far it has not showed up. This recording seems to come from a cell.phone with the disadvantage of having a woman talking over it throughout as well as screaming. There is a funny mistake on the band s introduction with Jagger introducing on the bass…Chuck Leavell! On Ride em On Down Gary Clarke Jr is the guest, after having played the opening set.

The Stones return to New Orleans finally happened on this tour, their first show in town since 1994, the only available recording so far was a fan s blu ray Welcome to New Orleans, made from You Tube clips, so this too is for the first time on silver disc. Under My Thumb us the song selected by the voters, played for the first time on this tour; this recording is a bit distant but not bad and well balanced.

Back to Jacksonville too, this stop is documented on Jacksonville 2019 TTAA Bank Field 2 cdr (no label) a concert that is slightly longer like all the shows that begin with Street Fighting Man in such case Jumping Jack Flash is played, while those that begin with the latter do not feature Street Fighting man elsewhere in the setlist. Contrary to many other recordings the taper must have had a very clear view of the PA system, because the bass can be heard as loud and upfront as the other instruments, easier the best recorded of the lot with not many annoying screamer nearby. In this concert Gimme Shelter is played right after Midnight Rambler and not as first encore which is Brown Sugar.

The last concert of this box set is the Philadelphia one, released as Philadelphia 2019 Lincoln Financial Field 2 cdr (no label), No Filtrer US Tour 2019 Lincoln Financial Field Philadelphia (EXCDR-NF20190723A/B/C) 2 cdr and 1 DVD-R and Philadelphia 2019 2cd (no label). This too is< a great sounding recording; in this concert there is yet another minor change in songs order, as Paint It Black here follows Midnight Rambler and after that comes Gimme Shelter.

The DVD features the opening show of this tour, the video has been available as blu ray Welcome to Chicago #1 (midimannz prod.) and this is a copy of that; it is indeed well done and presents various sources taken from You Tube uploads in best possible quality. Keith died his hair again and Jagger runs on stage on the opening song proving his fast recovery from heart surgery, the Stones get back in the saddle. Footage is very clear, with many up-close parts, we can see for instance for the first time ever Jagger spitting on stage, right before Tumbling Dice or Marr Clifford playing maracas during Brown Sugar. What to say of this box then? Unlike many others from WLR there are no notable glitches or mistakes here, we can say that even the hard to find concert (Burl s Creek) is her although incomplete and therefore this has proven to be a nice document of the Stones 2019 No Filter tour.
