REVIEW: |
This project was initiated by Glimmerman's upload of recordings of
rehearsals which had not been circulated. Reworking started and
t
hen it was decided to
review everything we had from this TV show: it was the origin of this
mini-series. All available recordings as well as videos were used, the
source used was What Am I Living
For (DAC 106) which has been de-clicked, some parts slightly amplified and the
transitions between the tracks reworked. There was a rumor that the late great
John Belushi was doing some backing vocals on
I’ve Been Loving You
Too Long, but it could have been Keith Richards either (it’s hard to make it out
because of the sound quality and the off-mike vocals: it was not Ronnie Wood
who did some vocals too but was better microphoned). The output is not that
great, just Jagger’s vocals are clearly audible as well as some guitars, but
the rarity of the set is worth interest.
