The review

This release presents yet another remaster of Cpt Acid’s remastered version of the famous Philadelphia 1972 recordings by Graf Zeppelin which have here been pitch corrected with some tracks replaced too. The main sources were replaced for Be Bye Johnny with the 20 July take that had no cut at the beginning and had Keith Richards introduction; moreover, from All Down The Line onwards to the end of Disc Two the master with the best audio has been used and this has also removed the cut at the start of Don’t Lie To Me. Even the audience tracks sound vert good here; only slight complaint is the front artwork which has been rehashed so many times it gets boring, besides the fact that this version won’t stand out much sporting the same artwork. Out of the many versions with the same title and content this is definitively the best one and, unless the Stones would officially release something alike, stands as the definitive version of the 1972 setlist.
