REVIEW:

This is a peculiar release offering the famous Stones psychedelic album Their Satanic Majesties Request instrumental takes (the vocals heard come from Keith:. where s the joint? at the beginning of Sing This All Together(See What Happens) and talking at the beginning of On With Thee Show. The album was recorded during sessions at the Olympic Studios that started in February and ended in late October 1967: the album featured Jagger on lead and backing vocals and percussions, Richards on lead, acoustic and rhythm guitars and backing vocals, Jones on rhythm guitars, mellotron, organ, piano, horns, mandolin, sitar, flute and percussions, Wyman on bass, percussions, organ and lead vocals on one song and Watts on drums and percussions. Other musicians helped as well: Stu, Nicky Hopkins, Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and John Paul Jones among them. The sound output is excellent despite these being outtakes, although t is also possible that vocals have been erased from some official tracks.
