REVIEW: |
Here is
another rework of the Abkco live tracks, this time the second show of Madison Square Gardens, New York November 28 was converted to wav
with proper removed of the dial tone/hum, of a few clicks and of the existing
gaps between the tracks; it has also been fixed few clicks and the gaps between
the tracks. Ir was also fixed the missing start of Midnight Rambler with a
patch (from GYYYO acetate) and a missing bit in Little Queenie using a patch
from an audience recording (Joe Maloney tape). Now there is some doubt on
Little Queenie coming from this concert but thre are more oddities here, for
instance on Love In Vain he audience is mixed quite high dir the whole length
of the song, while in Honky Tonk Women Jagger sings about a divorcee from New
York City, thing is that on the Ya Ya s version which is supposed to come from
this concert he sang of a divorcee from Paris, hence the clear proof that this
song on Ya Ya was a mix of two performances, the beginning from this concert,
the rest from the 27th. This recording is also marred by many
frequent pops which come up annoyingly during songs being played, but these are
historical recordings that finally saw the light of day, albeit in mono.
