REVIEW:

From Japan here it is the latest product from IMP, the focus is on the US 1978 Tour for its 30th Anniversary: first chapter of Disc 1 is the Pro Shot long version re-synchronized audio with stereo soundboard soundtrack. Audio quality is superb, video quality acceptable despite lack of colour, too bad the video is not complete. What follows is the NBC Tour Report with footage from Ft.Worth, Chicago and New Orleans and a short interview with Jagger, faint colours unfortunately. Then its Good Morning America from ABC that has a funny Jagger interview where Jagger pretends he is 27 instead of 35 years old and live footage from Anaheim Stadium together with shots from the official promos for "Miss You" and "Faraway Eyes" in better quality . Last chapter is the 1978 Old Grey Whistle Test that features another interview with Mick Jagger. Unfortunately when a chapter ends you do not go to the next one but a silent menu appears again and you have to choose your selection. Also there is no mention of total length, you just have to add up all chapters to know how long the DVD lasts.Disc 2 has some footage from Anaheim, a silent film synchronized with dubbed audio from the same show, this is Hand Held camera that shakes a lot, positioned in front of the stage. Colour footage but, like I said, very hard to look at until "Beast Of Burden" when the camera starts being steady; it does include the famous scene of the shoes thrown to the stage. What is remarkable in this footage is the stereo soundtrack(including the intro) that could be used for a pressed CD if complete, as it is much better than Return to Liver from VGP, the only available version of this show released so far. It is followed by the same footage with audio in mono (not synchronized).  Obviously all this material could have been put into one disc, instead of leaving Disc 2 for the first 250 buyers of this release, as some interesting stuff is on it, but I won't discuss IMP marketing decisions as they have been overturned many times before.
