REVIEW:

Rattlesnake have earned their reputation as one of the premier European labels along with Crystal Cat for great sounding recordings and beautiful packaging. This latest release is no exception.

A neatly packaged 3 cd of both of Bob's Amsterdam shows in outstanding sound quality. The recording is loud, well defined with tons of seperation and definition between the vocals, guitars, and drums. The sound 'punches' out at you throughout and makes you feel like you are there.

The shows are great too, with Bob on fine form throughout. It's hard to pick highlights but once again the performances of 'It Ain't Me Babe' and 'It's alright Ma' are fantastic. A couple of the best shows of the tour to be found here.

Packaging is simple but effective, a bit more simple than some older Rattlesnake releases but still excellently designed nonetheless. The standard multi-page booklet with photos and a write up by 'The Gentlemen's Club Of Spalding Treasurer' is a standard feature of nearly all Rattlesnake's Dylan releases. The discs themselves are silk-screened with the 'Eye' logo...I can't remember when I last saw the name 'Bob Dylan' actually on the discs! Must be back in the early 'Dandelion' days....

Highly recommended.

DYLAN, BOB
