REVIEW: |
Glimmerman provided yet another very pleasant surprise uploading this
previously uncirculated recording (coming perhaps from a previously unreleased
video?). This recording was reworked a bit by duplicating the single channel,
de-clicking it and slightly amplifying the sound.
A segment from the Respectable #3 and Respectable #4 already appeared on
Saturday Night Live (VGP 376) and on the Hansome Girls DVD. They were used to
find the correct speed:
Glimmerman’s
recording had to be decelerated by -7% to be in synch.
Additional musicians were STU on piano and Ian
McLagan on piano and organ.
For this compilation numerous versions were
checked: Saturday Night Live (VGP 376), All Mixed Up (Rabbit Records 024-25), extracts
from the LPs Some Tattoos (Geiz Recordzz 93005), Hot And Wild (TAP 002) and
videos (WLR, Jointrip). The most complete and best quality version come from
the DVD Handsome Girls which was ripped and that you will find here. The first
sequences of the video source are the same as the last sequences posted by
Glimmerman; they correspond to the end of Respectable #3 and to Respectable #4
(see Disc One).
During the rehearsals the Stones listened to the official version of Bitch
which provided the correct speed for this recording which had to be decelerated
by -1.9% and indirectly that of the Glimmerman-recording (which had to be
decelerated by –7%. These recordings are better sounding than the previous ones
and interesting despite the fact that they are often interrupted.
