REVIEW:

A newly surfaced video including 30 minutes of excerpts from the 2 shows that Bo Diddley and Ron Wood did in June 1988 at Woody's On The Beach popped up. The sound quality is good but sadly it was very partial (only 30 minutes for both shows of June 21 and 22 combined). By comparing them with the audio recordings it was noticed that there had been mixes of the 2 shows in the video but also in the audio recordings! A lot of time was spent to identify the real origin of the different recordings and the results are shown here.

#1-21 corresponds to volume 06 of this series (dedicated to June 21)

#1-22 corresponds to volume 07 of this series (dedicated to June 22)

#2 is the video source.

Note that it's possible that we miss one or more tracks between ‘’I’m A Man’ and ‘Mona’. The line up here was: Ron Wood on guitar, vocals, Bo Diddley on guitar, vocals and drums, Jim Satten on guitar, Debbie Hastings on bass and backing vocals, Mike Fink on drums, Hal Goldstein on keyboards, backing vocals and harmonica plus special guest Bobby Keys from Ooh La La onwards until Black Limousine. The video included the beginning of the show which was previously missing. Ooh La La, Seven Days and Lord Have Mercy are just fragments: it was therefore decided to present them in merged versions as a bonus. These parts also allowed to correct the speed (version #1 had to be accelerated by +2%). It was also refocused both channels in the previous version. Note that the first part of Crackin’ Up was previously, by mistake, attributed to the 22nd June date (where it was combined with the end of real 22nd June version of Crackin’ Up) and that another extract from the 21st June appeared on the video (with a mutual part lasting 15 seconds).
