This
release presents once again the Stones best known set of tracks from the 1978 US
Tour; soundwise these tracks have always been available as excellent soundboard
recordings, although on some releases they have been supplemented by some audience
tracks to complete and document a show. Many bootlegs have come out with such title,
like Swinging Pig TSP-CD 200, Dandelion 030-033 in 1998, DPCD 09-12 in 2005 which
had these same covers, other having similar ones like Handsome Girls, Some
Wives (and a Pretty Woman) OGM 033-036 in 2010 or Gorgeous Girls Redux (Sister
Morphine 24) all containing the KBFH material and Girls, Pills and Powders (Pignose 023) 5 discs set. The so called bonus tracks are
not in soundboard stereo like all the other tracks and add nothing to this
compilation.
In 2016 then 3 single releases presented the 1978
stops in Detroit (DAC 171), Houston (DAC 172) and Lexington (DAC 178) all
having Handsome Girls as first part of the title. These tracks can also be
found on boxes like RS Tour 78 (WLR 2129) etc. Packaging reproduces the DPCD
covers and frankly a new artwork would have been better, not just to
differentiate it from such previous release,but also because that (and this)
are pretty dull.
