The Stones stop in Amsterdam on their 2022 Euro Tour should have happened 24 days before on June 13^th but had to be postponed due to Jagger having got Covid, with the announcement coming at 6 pm when the venue was open; however, the July concert turned out to be one of the best of the entire tour. The former Amsterdam Arena now entitled to the late Ajax football player Johan Cruyff is known for its bad acoustics, but this release presents a great recording nonetheless. The sound is really excellent with a very broad spectrum and almost no audience interferences, but about 5.50 into Out of Time there is a skip in this recording that is said to be coming from the master. Anyway, here we have again the Ghost Hounds backing vocals on Tumbling Dice and You Can’t Always Get What You Want and they are also introduced; speaking of setlist in this concert we get Let’s Spend The Night Together, Sweet Virginia and Can’t You Hear Me Knocking which is in its shortest live version ever, just 5 minutes and 34 seconds. It is not known why the band decided to keep Sympathy For The Devil as first encore instead of Gimme Shelter because regardless of the light coming from outside the Arena had its roof closed, so no need to have darkness to play it.
