The first of the 2 Indianapolis concert in 1989 happened exactly 20 years after the Altamont concert, but that is the only point of contact with it, on this show the Stones changed deeply in their approach, though putting up one of their longest concerts. This one in fact presents many warhorses with the band that tried to perform them as close as possible to the original versions. This show was released on Taking A Bow In Indianapolis (Barbaric Sound Experience) 2 cdrs and as part of Terrifying Indianapolis 4 cdrs that included the next day concert as well.

This release presents a good recording that, however, at times is too metallic in its output and has too much audience “presence” for having a “truly perfect sound” as advertised, as well as useless chatters at the concert’s end.
