The review

This release from Goldplate came out in 2023 before the other one that was released by the same label in 2025 and presents all Black and Blue outtakes, mostly instrumental on Disc One with tracks from the Rotterdam sessions with Jeff Beck on Disc Two.

The first disc presents alternate takes from Black and Blue album in very good quality although it is hard to figure out why they inserted Never Stop, the first version of Start Me Up, which was recorded in 1977, after Black & Blue was released. Disc Two is not as good as Disc One soundwise, but the tracks are reasonably clear. Track 14 here called Boogie Jam, is in fact the instrumental version of Built That Way.
