The review

The first concert in Rotterdam in the 1973 tour first came out on 2 tapes called The Complete 10-13-73 Rotterdam and First Night in Rotterdam, both in terrible sound. On silver in 1994 it was released on The Rotterdam Tapes (Stone Crazy 005-2) in mono coupled with the 1st show from the following day. Om 1999 was released Keep Your Pussies Clean (Dandelion 122) from a different source that featured 8 tracks from the first night but also a cd-rom with some private films and tv footage. Later a 3 discs set was released as Rotterdam 1973 (no label) with all the Holland performances, unfortunately the first night recording had poor sound quality except for Brown Sugar that was in soundboard. This recording is not that bad though and at times there are surprises like the piano and organ on Angie or the sax on You Can’t Always Get What You Want clearly heard; obviously there is some distortion here and there but generally the concert can be enjoyed.
