The review
The latest product from The Swinging Pig presents alternate songs from Exile On
Obviously vinyl lovers do remember The Swinging Pig from the 80s and 90s and love the look of colored vinyl, the broadness of the covers etc. The product itself is beautiful and offers a nice chance to dig back into the band'
s most creative period, even if purists would regret that the pressing operation happened transferring digital sounds into vinyl grooves therefore not recreating the analogue feel that many are still looking after these days. The cover sports an Exile lookalike cover with the front that holds black & white shots of various freaks and the back that has photo of Stones members with the songs titles of the four sides strangely assembled, starting from side 3, then side 4, side 1 and side 2 while the inside has beautiful prints of the band again. There is a label on the front cover advertising 'Colored Vinyl', however the copy I got had some dark blue basic vinyl with white stripes that make it look much more like a marble wax set of the past.
