REVIEW:

This release was announced and presented months ago in Japan, so much so that somebody though it was an official one. It is instead a summary of what came out from many recording sessions for Aftermath, the first album with all own compositions the band had, that have appeared online. The first disc presents a copy of the original UK mono album. Disc Two starts with the singles and rarities, that is Sad Day remixed from mono to stereo Out Of Time USA version, followed by a bunch of stereo versions called Working Mix Stereo meaning tracks from the album stereo version except for Track 9 Mother’s Little Helper with Keith Richards singing the intro line, Looking Tired (unreleased), Think different take that appeared on Necrophilia that has some overdubs and a version   of 19th Nervous Breakdown with early vocals, Paint It Black   and Lady Jane backing tracks ending with Con Le Mie Lacrime, the first one without harpsichord. Missing are Mother’s Little Helper backing track and Out Of Time instrumental; at the end of disc Two there is Spector And Pitney Came Too from 1964 sessions that Andrew Oldham renamed Aftermath when he made the Necrophilia album. What shall we say about this release, then? Well, nothing new, as expected, but nice sound and packaging which includes a booklet with recording information and liner notes (in Japanese).
