In Los Angeles at the Forum on 18 January 1973 there was a
benefit concert for the victims of the Nicaraguan earthquake that happened on
23.12.72.
This project was
initiated by the discovery of new video footage of Brown Sugar from this
exceptional show. BlueTurns2Grey worked to assemble all the available excerpts,
and so the attempt was to create a different soundtrack.
To do this,
different versions of the song were merged: those from the video excerpts,
including the one from Silkcut78 (which was a vinyl rip) and the version from
the 2004 bootleg Nicaraguan Benefit Concert 1973 (VGP 283 gold edition).
This makes
for a rather short volume, in fact I believe it is the first time a cd with
just one track appears.
The sound output is nice
and the performance is stellar.
